I have attached a file that shows a mock-up of what I need. I have no problem with filling my problem this way.
I do not have the technical expertise to do this. I am told that there are shareware (source code available) viewers/players available (example: Gnash) that can be modified to fit my needs. Student will be instructed to drag the viewer/player to the right bottom corner of the screen and then perform actions in their version of the application while watching the video. Custom requirements of the viewer/player include fixed viewer size, stay-on-top, DVD/VHS push button type controls, movable by dragging to preferred screen location. Originating with FutureWave Software, then transferred to Macromedia, and then coming under the control of Adobe, SWF files can contain animations or applets of varying degrees of interactivity and function. I need a viewer/player that can be included on the CD that will automatically be used to view the videos. SWF is an Adobe Flash file format used for multimedia, vector graphics and ActionScript. These videos are in Spanish and are designed to teach the student how to use Microsoft Office applications. Non-technical teacher using Camtasia Studio 4 has developed a series of videos in SWF format to be distributed to students via CD.
